Makula Hotspring

MAKULA hot spring has been processed became an interesting tourism object and visited by domestic and foreign tourist every time. It will feels incomplete while you come to Toraja but does not visit to Makula. Feel the comfortable of bathing hot water in the cold temperature of Toraja. Location of Object Makula located in Sangalla District, Tana Toraja Regency, Provinve of South Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia. It is about 24 kilometers south of Rantepao Town or six kilometers west of Makale Town. Overview There are three hot springs located in Makula that close each other. Around the springs, there are houses stood to gather breath. Managers deliberately provided ponds to hold water that flows from the heat source. While enjoying the beauty of nature in Sangalla, you can submerge in hot water as long as you want. Hot water emerged from limestone and sandstone structure that dominates the land of Sangalla. The highest water temperature is 43.6 degrees centigrade on 22.1 degrees centigrade air temperature. Heat source is derived from the pocket of magma below the Kaero Hill. Energy spread through the rocks. Access Hot spring bathing place of Makula can be reached from Rantepao and Makale with private vehicles or transport facilities provided by hotels.
