 Nabire is the main town at the southern part of Cendrawasih Bay. It is
quite neat and tidy, but dull. Also expensive, as there is a lot of
gold-mining in the area. It is most useful for travellers as an entry
point to the western highlands, or to the beautiful islands of
Cendrawasih Bay nearby.
