This Christian village on the east coast of Leihitu is
famous for its sacred eels, living in a pool of crystal clear water
which is also used by locals for bathing and washing a bit downstream.
The eels often hide among the rocks, in which case you will have to pay
a local to lure them out with eggs. This is supposed to be justified by
the belief that spotting these eels brings you good luck.
