Java to Bali Overland in 10 Days / 09 Nights

Day 1: Jakarta – Bogor 
Upon arrival in Jakarta, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred in an air-conditioned luxury coach to your hotel in Bogor, the Salak Hotel. Check into your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight at Salak Hotel. Hotel Salak The Heritage is the only heritage hotel located in front of Bogor Presidential Palace next to the City Hall. All the 120 rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, wall–to–wall carpet, bathtub and shower, hot and cold water, television with international satellite channels and in–house movies, mini bar & coffee maker, and telephone with IDD facility. Hotel Salak The Heritage offers 6 dining options, including Sudanese, American, European and Indonesian delicacies.

Day 2: Bogor – Bandung
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will meet you at the appointed time in your hotel and you will be taken in an air-conditioned luxury coach to the Bogor Botanical Garden. This Garden contains streams and lotus ponds, and more than 15,000 species of trees and plants, including 400 types of magnificent palms. The orchid houses are reputed to contain more than 3000 orchid varieties.
Continue through a manicured landscape of tea plantation and terraced rice fields to Bandung.
Arrive in Bandung and check into the Papandayan Hotel.
Overnight at Papandayan Hotel. The Papandayan Hotel Bandung is centrally located in the city’s shopping and business centre. It is about 15 minutes’ drive from the train station, Gedung Merdeka and Jalan Merdeka. The Papandayan Hotel is an international 4-stars hotel with 188 spacious guestrooms on its five floors, and a multi-cuisine restaurant. All rooms have private direct dial telephone, key-card security system, air condition, personal safe, mini bar, coffee and tea making facility, and remote control TV with multilingual satellite channels.

Day 3: Bandung
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will meet you and take you for a full day tour covering a dormant volcano of Tangkuban Prahu, vast tea plantations, a natural hot spring in Ciater to relax, and a memorable traditional performance of bamboo music in Padasuka.
Return to your hotel in Bandung and have the rest of day free at leisure.
Overnight at Papandayan Hotel.

Day 4: Bandung – Baturaden

Following breakfast, get picked up by your guide from your hotel and drive in an air-conditioned luxury coach through magnificent terraced rice fields, and lush countryside. Visit a famous Naga village, a traditional village and a museum of Sundanese architecture and village life.
Arrive at Baturaden and check into the Queen Garden hotel.
Overnight at Queen Garden hotel. This is a beautiful hotel, in the midst of lush green nature. The rooms are well-equipped with all the modern amenities, and offer fabulous views of the countryside. The hotel has a multi-cuisine restaurant.

Day 5: Baturaden – Jogja
After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by your guide and taken in an air-conditioned luxury coach towards Jogja. Drive past mountainous regions to the Dieng plateau passing some beautiful countryside, rural villages, and terraced rice fields. Visit old Hindu shrines dating back to the 5th century A.D.
Drive to Yogyakarta for overnight stay in Jogya. Check into the Jogya Plaza hotel.
Overnight at Jogya Plaza Hotel. Jogya Plaza hotel is a unique international resort-styled hotel located in the city's university district, only minutes away from the Malioboro shopping arcades and Keraton. Just a short distance out of town are Merapi Volcano, the tranquil beaches of the Indian Ocean, and the famous Buddhist and Hindu Temples, Borobudur and Prambanan. All the 125 hotel rooms have wall-to-wall carpeting and individually controlled air-conditioning, ensuite bathroom with bathtub / shower, IDD Direct Dial telephone, colour TV with satellite receiver, hair dryer, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities and 24-hours room service.

Day 6: Jogja City Tour and Borobudur
After breakfast in your hotel, your guide will pick you up and take you in an air-conditioned luxury coach for a sightseeing tour of Jogja. Among the many highlights of this place are the monumental Borobudur Buddhist temple, Sultan Palace with many spiritual symbols, Pasar Ngasem (bird market), the traditional workshops of Batik, Silver, and leather puppet show.
Return to your hotel in Jogja.
Overnight at the Jogya Plaza Hotel.

Day 7: Jogja – Malang
After breakfast in your hotel, your guide will pick you up and take you in an air-conditioned luxury coach for a sightseeing tour. Visit the Prambanan temple known as the most elegant of Hindu shrines, and a traditional market in Solo. Drive past lush countryside, teak forest and sugar cane estates and rural villages.
Arrive at Malang and check into the Graha Cakra hotel.
Overnight at the Graha Cakra hotel. Located in the luxurious residential area of Malang, the Graha Cakra Hotel is a fine example of colonial architecture of the 1930s, combined with all the modern amenities. This boutique hotel offers 44 rooms and suites and its facilities include a swimming pool, coffee shop, pool terrace and a multi-cuisine restaurant.

Day 8: Malang – Bromo
Set out with your guide after breakfast at the hotel for a morning excursion around Malang. Numerous temple remains dating from the 13th century kingdom of Singosari can still be seen in the Malang region. Well-known sites include Candi Singosari, Jajaghu (or Jago), Kidal, as well as the so called 'Bathing Place of Ken Dedes'. All are to be found within a thirty kilometre radius from the city of Malang.
Continue the drive towards Bromo.
Arrive at Bromo and check into the Bromo Cttages hotel
Overnight at Bromo Cottages Hotel. Bromo Cottages Hotel is located at the village of Tosari in Pasuruan. It is regarded as the most well-equipped hotel in the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park vicinity. Offering fabulous views of the Bromo mountain, each of the 80 Superior rooms, 3 suites and 20 villas are well-equipped with all the modern facilities. Guests can dine at the onsite restaurant that serves a range of Chinese, Indonesian and European cuisine.

Day 9: Bromo – Kalibaru
This is an action-packed day! Set out early in the morning for a tour to Mt. Bromo by minivan followed by a horseback journey up the Bromo Volcano (Mt. Bromo) to experience the magnificence sunrise over Java.
Return to your hotel for breakfast.
Accompanied by your guide, drive to Kalibaru, passing picturesque countryside, rural villages, tobacco drying houses, and thick tropical forest.
Arrive at Kalibaru and check into your hotel, the Margo Utomo Agro Resort.
Overnight at Margo Utomo Agro Resort. Margo Utomo Agro Resort is located on the edge of the Kalibaru town, just across the Kalibaru railway station. This unique resort, besides catering to the comforts of the visitors, also offers an educational experience. Visitors can enjoy the tropical plants and flowers, and also witness the milking cows’ farm which gives a rural “touch” to the resort. All the 51 standard rooms have a private balcony, and feature amenities like hot and cold water and 24-hours room service.

Day 10: Kalibaru – Bali
After breakfast at your hotel, you will be driven in an air-conditioned luxury coach to Ketapang harbour and board a ferry to cross the shallow Bali Strait. After disembarking from the ferry, you will be picked up in an air-conditioned luxury coach and dropped off at your hotel in Bali. Your Java tour comes to an end here.
